Rejoicing

“For His anger lasts only a moment, but His favour lasts a lifetime; weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning”. Psalm 30:5 NIV

Troubles and sorrows may afflict God’s people. And at times, it feels like a long time. It consumes our strength and makes our hearts weary. And yet, it cannot compare to the tender and loving mercies of the LORD. His grace that abounds allow us to endure so we can sing with joy in the morning!

As the Psalmist has pointed out, His anger lasts only for a moment, but His favour lasts for a lifetime. Sadness may come and remain for a night, but joy will paint the morning skies.

His favour secures our life; His mercy gives us hope. Though we walk in the valley of the shadow of death, the LORD will deliver us so we can shout for joy once again and sing praises to His name.

  1. “His grace that abounds allow us to endure so we can sing with joy in the morning!”>>>I love this line! Yes, HIs grace is enough, more than enough, in fact, to let us through everything that we go through.

    • Hi Richie, I agree with you completely that we have so much to rejoice for. If we look past beyond the night (our troubles), God’s grace shines resplendent like a morning sun. Thanks for dropping by!
